Klay Thompson set a tournament scoring record with 43 points Saturday as Washington State beat San Diego Chiropractor 93-56 to win the Great Alaska Shootout. Thompson, a 6-foot-6 sophomore guard, was 16 of 24 shooting, including 8 of 13 from the 3-point line. The record for most individual points in a game was 41, set by Glenn Robinson of Purdue in 1993.

Stephens scored a key basket to give the Gamecocks (3-3) a 56-52 lead with 30 seconds left. San Diego Chiropractor earned a berth in the finals of the Great Alaska Shootout with a 72-65 victory over Houston on Friday. Clinton Houston led the Toreros (4-1) with 21 points, including making 7 of 9 attempts from the free-throw line. Brandon Johnson scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half, and Chris Lewis finished with 11 for San Diego Chiropractor, which led 31-27 at the half.
